The Top 12 must have Christmas toys and where to buy them cheaper!

Every year in November there is a coveted list of top 72 children’s toys announced. Rather than bore you with the 72 items, I have decided to include only the top 12 in this article and I will also tell you where you can buy them for the cheapest price. The 12 ‘must have’ toys list has been compiled by the Toy Retailers Association (TRA.)

The top 12 list has a number of classic toys given a 2014 facelift, figures and figurines and technology powered gifts for the modern day cool kid. If you thought that you had finally heard the last rendition of, “Let it go, let it go,” then you were wrong as Frozen have not one but two products on the top 12 list! The list is pretty diverse and Gary Grant, chair of the Dream Toys committee, said: “Our top toys list illustrates how diverse toys are, encouraging very different patterns of play. It’s great to see creative and sharing toys sitting alongside more traditional toys or toys that facilitate a bit of rough and tumble.”

So without further ado, here is the list you have all been waiting for.

1) Bop It! Beats (RRP £21.99)
2) Disney Frozen Snow Glow Elsa (£34.99)
3) Disney Frozen Sparkle Doll (assorted) (£16.99)
4) Kidizoom Smart Watch (£39.99)
5) Little Live Pets Bird Cage (19.99)
6) Minecraft Figures (assorted) (£7.99)
7) My Friend Cayla (£58.99)
8) Nerf Demolisher 2-in-1 (£44.99)
9) The Lego Movie: Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! (£79.99)
10) Toot-Toot Animals Safari Park (£39.99)
11) Transformers Stomp & Chomp Grimlock (£89.99)
12) Zoomer Dino-Boomer (£99.99)

So should we all be rushing out and buying the toys now? Of course! There a few special offers on at the minute and the likelihood is that people are going to start stocking up and emptying the shelves; creating serious demand for these products. Those with children will be buying the toys early to save a few extra pennies and to prevent disappointed faces on Christmas day. Those without children will be emptying the shelves of the toys and selling them on eBay later on when toy shop’s stocks have depleted and parents are becoming desperate. Last Christmas parents were paying over 80% more for Furbys when toy shops ran out and eBay became the battle of the determined parent.

Don’t forget, while the list below states the prices for buying the toys individually, there are lots of discounts to be had if you buy a few at a time.
